Art Opening: Wear the Earth at the Re-Institute

Join Breeze for the opening of her solo exhibit: Wear the Earth, it becomes you at the ReInstitute in Millerton, NY June 9th at 5pm.

Breeze shows new provocative work incorporating archeological finds such as: unearthed plastics from Iceland, Edna Saint Vincent Millay's gin bottles along with hand molded cement planters planted with healing weeds, seedlings in recycling and handmade herbal medicines and acorn paint.  Breeze asks us to re-see what nature and organic mean, as well as our autobiographies written in waste.  In her style she creates relationships of delicate beauty with what is often overlooked with a good dose of dirt.

The exhibit will be open to the public for the month.

Art as life.  What is the story of our life?  The past buried in the earth, the future seeds.  Weeds grow.  Ground cover underfoot. Potent medicine overlooked.  What do you notice?  What do you value? What have you lost? What have you found?
