Join Artist Dawn Breeze, for a art-making walk as she introduces her social mapping project at Olana State Historic Site; Wayfinding: Imaging History with (Our)Story.

Walking the carriage roads Frederic Church created, one becomes enchanted- not only with the experience of the surrounding beauty, but also with the notion that in the twenty-first century one is having a parallel experience with the most influential early American painter by literally walking in his footsteps. Join Germantown artist Dawn Breeze as she engages audiences to be an artist like Church. Breeze will talk about her own art practice while prompting participants to write and create in Church’s footsteps. Materials and snacks provided; hike is about 1.5miles and low challenge. (Please note: If you cannot make this program you can still purchase Wayfinding: Imaging History with (Our)Story Exploration Guide at the Olana Museum Store for a self-guided experience).
